• BALANCE - More than just balance!

    Balance - a word that we all know and understand intuitively. But have you ever wondered what it really means? I wasn't aware of it myself when I built the first Costaboard 13 years ago. But when you deal with balance and balance boards 24/7, you accumulate a lot of knowledge. And I admit it - I'm a bit of a nerd sometimes and love to delve into this topic.
    Why is balance so important? Because it is much more than just a nice side effect of sport. Balance is an essential skill that influences our entire life - at any age.

  • What is balance actually?

    Technically speaking, balance is the interaction of different body systems: balance organs, muscle and joint sensors, spatial orientation, central nerve processing and neurochemical regulation. Put simply: balance is the perfect teamwork of your body to keep you safe and stable.

    But balance means more than just physical equilibrium. It influences our mobility, our cognitive performance and our general well-being. And that is precisely why it is worth consciously engaging with it.

  • How do I train the whole thing with the Costaboard?

    It's very simple: just stand on the Costaboard and try to stay on it for as long as possible. When you get bored because you can easily stand on it, start moving, do your first tricks - it's about always going a little further than you can at the moment. You can find some inspiration on our Instagram channel. And if you don't have a Costaboard, try standing on one leg and when that gets boring, pick up weights or start throwing a ball back and forth - it's about doing SOMETHING and preferably do it often, preferably every day.
